January - February 2009 I bagan the search for a job back in the upstate. The job outlook for Butch relocating to Myrtle Beach (which was the plan)was not panning out, and with the prospect of two in college come fall, I needed to return.
March - I secured a job in Spartanburg 6 at Dorman High School
June - Shane graduated from High School (South Pointe Class of 2009). We moved me out of the Myrtle Beach apartment.
July - We moved out of the Rock Hill Apartment, and into a rental house in Clover, SC.
August - Got Shane into his dorm at USC and helped him line up a workstudy as a manager for the USC Football team. SCORE!! Secured us home tickets to every home game, and some away games too. We attended almost every home game.
November - Sidelined for ten or so days with a bout of pneumonia. Lost 14 lbs. On the good side, I gave up caffeine and sodas. Lost my appetite for both, and probably compounded my illness with withdrawl symptoms that initially I attributed to just being sick.
December - My 14 yo Bentley became very ill on the 23. The vet said his blood sugar was in the 700s and he was in shock. Treatment would call for twice a day injections of insulin IF he survived the fluids and treatment that day, and the prognosis was grim. We made the difficult decision to have him put down. Traumatic for our entire family to say the least. Christmas Day me, Butch, Clyde and Shane spent in Nashville f the Titans/Chargers game. It was brutally COLD and we sat way up high. This was all Clyde wanted for Christmas. Came home the next day. We leave out on the 31st for Birmingham, Alabama for the USC bowl game. First time in YEARS I've missed Christmas and News Year/Mom's birthday at Mom's house.
