An Apartment for us!

Okay--we have decided to go to an apartment. It is BrookStone Apt, and they are located just off Cherry Road near the old mall. When you come into RH on 21, and travel down Anderson Rd, you have to bear left at Alltel to get to Cherry Road. Take the left onto Cherry Road. At Sullivan Middle School and the BlockBuster on Cherry road, you will take a right (onto Ebinport Road). It's about 1/4 to 1/3 a mile down that road (very residential-like) on the right. We will be moving HOPEFULLY in on December 1. We have to be out of our house by Nov. 30 (the closing date), and will probably stay in a hotel for two nights until we can get into the apartment. We are going to ask for three more days (through Dec 3) to get moved, but that may not happen...

Clyde will be home next Wednesday, so he'll be around to say goodbye to this house and help us move. Going from 2800 square feet to 1300 sq feet will take some adjustments. I am giving away my couch and loveseat from the bonus room to a family in our school who recently lost everything to a fire. They are very poor and needy, so we'll be delivering it Saturday.

We think we have decided to stay in Rock Hill. While the timing is good to consider moving (dramatic move), Butch does not want to be too far from his father. That rules out moving out of state. I'm not sure he wants to move anywhere else, and right now, all the places that are good professionally for me will also mean a paycut in salary. Of course after Sanford won our last election, I'm ready to ditch SC. I'm just glad that his little "yes-honey" supt for education LOST!!!! There is hope for education in SC.

We hope to have a FIRM decision about our future plans by Spring when it is time to renew our contracts. Once that decision is made, we will look for either another home or another lot to build. I don't expect to be able to bring food Thursday for Thanksgiving, but we are planning to come to Mom's for dinner. We'll be heavily involved in boxing and packing before and after. But atleast we do not have to make that $2K house payment this month, and so that will help with the cost of moving.

Okay that's the update from the Nelson household.
